Timothy O’Reilly

Timothy O’Reilly is an attorney with O’Reilly Law Group and practices law in the areas of civil litigation, including complex business disputes and catastrophic personal injury matters, as well as various transactional matters including business and real estate transactions, gaming law, and regulatory matters. In addition, he provides legal advice and representation for selected criminal matters and various administrative law proceedings throughout the State of Nevada, including representation of professional athletes in various capacities. Further, he serves as a Mentor in the State Bar of Nevada’s Transitioning into Practice (TIP) Program, sharing his experience, wisdom and guidance with newly-admitted attorneys.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Timothy O’Reilly graduated from UNLV in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration, and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2001 from UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law. During his college years, Tim played football for UNLV as a kicker, and was named UNLV Football Scholar Athlete of the Year, UNLV Football Team Leading Scorer, and Burger King National Scholar Athlete of the Week. Tim was also a member of the Western Athletic Conference All Conference Academic Team. During his first year of law school at Boyd School of Law, Tim continued to kick for UNLV, distinguishing him as the first active student athlete to participate in collegiate athletics at UNLV while attending law school.

Tim joined the Board of Directors of the UNLV Football Foundation in 2010, became a member of the Foundation in 2011, and was elected President of the Foundation in 2013. During his presidency, Tim dedicated himself to assisting in bringing both the Foundation and the UNLV Football Program to the next level by further assisting in the launch of a capital campaign in an effort to raise millions of dollars for a football practice facility on the UNLV campus. Working closely with UNLV and Coach Tony Sanchez, Tim looks forward to seeing Coach Sanchez’s vision, as well as the vision of UNLV for the football program, become a reality.

In addition to the UNLV Football Foundation, Tim serves on the Las Vegas Bowl Executive Committee and has been involved in various professional organizations and community activities. He is a graduate of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Leadership Las Vegas program, a State of Nevada Registered Athlete’s Agent representing clients in the official Major League Baseball Draft, a Member of the Board of Directors of Easter Seals of Southern Nevada, and a Youth Little League, Soccer and Basketball Coach.

In Tim’s professional career as an attorney, he has been recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Attorneys, Nevada Business Magazine’s Legal Elite (Southern Nevada’s Top Attorneys), The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers , The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, and as a Thomson Reuters SuperLawyers Mountain States Rising Star.

Tim and his wife Tamara, also a 1999 graduate of UNLV, live in Las Vegas with their four children, Andrew, Grant, Madeleine and Luke.
